What is Social Secharity?
Social Secharity is a groundbreaking concept at the intersection of financial strategy, philanthropy, and national sustainability. At a time when the U.S. national debt has exceeded $35.8 trillion and Social Security is projected to deplete its reserves by 2034, Americans are facing a growing need for alternative solutions that can secure income, reduce taxes, and create long-term societal impact. Social Secharity offers a bold answer grounded in a section of the tax code most people have never heard of: Internal Revenue Code Section 664.
A purpose-Driven Way to Build Wealth and Give Back
The Theory of Social Secharity was developed and named by Professor Lesley Winston, a financial educator, philanthropic strategist, and the founder of the Endow America Network Foundation (EANF), a national community foundation 501(c)(3) raising awareness of tax-advantaged solutions that enable individuals and the charities they support to establish long-term financial stability and sustainability.
Why Now?
Social Security is mandatory, inflexible, and disappears upon death. It offers no legacy, no ownership, and little adaptability to personal goals. Social Secharity, on the other hand, is voluntary, self-directed, and legacy-driven. It builds wealth, transfers values, and strengthens communities — all without requiring new legislation.
In addition, younger generations are entering adulthood with no assets, no direction, and no financial literacy. Social Secharity provides an alternative path, one that creates ownership, fosters purpose, and enables generational wealth planning rooted in giving back.
A Smarter Way Forward
Social Secharity empowers individuals to take control of their financial future while supporting the causes that matter to them. It’s not just a theory — it’s a national movement gaining traction through the Discovery 664 Academy, a platform dedicated to making these strategies accessible to all.
What’s Next?
If building wealth while giving back feels like the way forward, you’re not alone. More and more Americans are realizing that our retirement, tax, and giving systems don’t need small fixes — they need a complete rethink.
Social Secharity is that transformation.
The Man Behind the Movement: Lesley Winston
Lesley Winston is an Endowment Engineer, the father of the Theory of Social Secharity, and a pioneer in connecting financial education with purposeful philanthropy. With over four decades of expertise in financial and philanthropic education, he has dedicated his career to teaching how tax-advantaged strategies under Internal Revenue Code Section 664 can help individuals, advisors, and nonprofits reduce taxes, grow income, and build lasting legacies.
As the founder of Discovery 664 Academy, Winston created a platform for financial education focused on teaching how philanthropy-driven wealth management can align purpose with prosperity. He is the lead professor of the
664 Ambassador Course, which empowers learners to become financially intelligent, confident, and secure in both their daily decisions and long-term planning.
Building on this foundation, his advanced certification program — the Endowment Engineer Course — transforms knowledge into application through practicum-based chapters that teach learners to design, implement, and manage endowment-based financial solutions.
He is also the host of the Discovery 664 Academy Video Podcast on Spotify, which has reached more than 330,000 listeners. The show features two signature programs “More with Les,” offering short, insightful lessons from the 664 Ambassador Course and “The Endowment Vision Series,” which received so many listener requests that it was expanded into the sequel “Endowment Vision Series 2.0.” In this series, he explores the Theory of Social Secharity in greater depth and shares a summary of a formal proposal he recently submitted to the President of the United States. The proposal outlines a national plan for how Social Secharity could gradually reduce American dependence on Social Security while helping transition the country from indebted to endowed.
In the next blog in this series about the Theory of Social Secharity, we’ll explore the simple yet powerful equation at the heart of it all:
664 = E²
an idea that’s already changing how people think about income, legacy, and what’s possible.
